Friendly alert lad. Medium sized ears with good furnishings and small tufts. Eyes of medium size, good shape. Gentle rounding to muzzle and showing contour to profile, chin is shallow and recedes, flattening to skull between ears. Weighty body of good size, a little plump, but rather that than undersized. A young lad, just adult. Strong medium sized legs with rounded paws. Curly coat of medium length, good texture. Tail is well plumed but would like more length. Lovely temperament, a relaxed lad enjoying his day.

Medium length body with length of legs to balance, tapering well plumed tail. Lovely springy feel to coat, just standing away from body. Most attractive colouring, delicate lilac tortie and white coat. Excellent temperament and condition. A pleasure to judge, what a charming kitten.

Very expressive green eyes, good shape. Firm medium length body with long legs and rounded paws. Well plumed tail. Soft but textured coat, well prepared with that special wavy look and springy texture. Soft lilac and white tortie colouring. Temperament and condition excellent! A pleasure to judge, very good example of this super breed.

26/2/05 - Coventry and Leicester Show - Helen Marriot-Power - Assessment Adult

A really attractive young lady who enjoyed being handled. Modified wedge with gently rounded contours. Flat plane to forehead. Profile shows slight convex curve then straight to tip. Ears following lines of face, slightly flared, medium sized and well furnished. Full almond shaped expressive eyes set well apart. Medium sized body of excellent weight and good firm feel. Well boned proportionate legs and paws which are rounded. Medium coat with wavy hair on tail. Long curly whiskers. Soft springy coat standing away from the body. I would prefer more waving over body. Interesting colour and pattern. The ears and back of legs did appear a bit blue rather than lilac today.

28/8/04 - Teeside Cat Club - Anne Gregory - Assessment Kitten

A really attractive little female who was so relaxed and happy she just lay in my arms and purred loudly! Large ears set well apart. Medium wedge and rounded contours. Flat plane to the forehead. Very expressive eyes of good shape. Straight nose. Rounded whisker pads. Broad muzzle and good chin. Medium length to the body. Lovely firm muscular feel to her though she was very elegant. Good legs and rounded paws. The tail was a good length to balance. Semi-longhair coat with a very good springy feel to it. Plumed tail and wavy whiskers. The coat stood well away from the body and waved well. Excellent temperament and shown in lovely condition. Another sweetie that was a pleasure to judge.

Pleasing type, overall ears held a well bit higher occasionally, modified wedge with gently rounded contours, very slight break in nose, fair chin, level bite, pleasing expressive golden eyes. Medium sized body, well muscled, rounded paws, tail thicker at root and tapered to tip. Nice springy feel to coat with curls everywhere. Well prepared and a joy to handle.

Bane Ichabod Tiponi - (Owner S Pyrke) - 80L 19

28/8/04 - Teeside Cat Club - Anne Gregory - Assessment Kitten

A gorgeous baby with a wonderful personality. He had medium ears set quite well apart and slightly flared. The ears had tiny tufts and little muffs. The wedge was of medium length but perhaps he was slightly fine in the muzzle. The eyes were almond shaped, set well apart and he had such a mischievous expression! Muscular body of medium length. Moderately fine boning but excellent weight for his size. The tail was a good length to balance. The coat was semi-longhaired, waving well with an excellent texture and springy feel to it. I felt his head was marginally Oriental, but with 15 points for head and 35 for coat I felt he deserved the merit certificate. Excellent condition and temperament.

11/9/04 - Northern Counties Cat Club - John Hanson - Assessment Kitten

Certainly works to sell himself and sucks up to the judge. Moderate wedge, slight rounded muzzle, very slight break at the eye line, good chin and bite, despite about the teeth. Ears quite large, open base, well set. Eyes slight oval shape in an oriental setting. Lithe of form. Well toned body. Slim legs, small neat oval paws. Tail well furnished of good length. Coat unruly unstructured waves in random fashion, length developing, texture dry or slightly harsh texture. Not convinced about the pattern, colour bright, good facial markings and leg bracelets, back rather solid and lacks lines on sides as such. Temperament and condition, superb for both. Delightful personality, full of confidence. Happy to award pleasing start.

20/11/04 - GCCF Supreme - Gill Cornish - Assessment Kitten

Male. Looking a little immature at present. Just a little long in the wedge with slightly rounded gentle contours. Whisker pads fairly full and rounded. Muzzle perhaps a little fine with firm chin. Moderate whisker break. Gentle nose break. Ears of good size and set well. Medium large and expressive eyes of good shape and set. Well-muscled body of good size for age. Neck carried erect. Medium-boned, medium long legs with rounded feet. Medium-length coat with rough developing. Plumed tail of good length. Curly coat perhaps a little harsh in texture but loose and bouncy with minimal undercoat. Lovely lively kitten.

12/3/05 - Lancashire cat Club - Jean Gamble - Assessment Adult

He was a little overawed by the noise in the hall but was fairly easy to handle. Moderate wedge, full whisker pads, gentle profile curve and firm chin, broad muzzle, well placed ears, large expressive eyes. Firm body with medium length legs and rounded paws, well plumed tail. Medium length to coat with that special springy feel to it showing good waves overall. Lovely rich red coat colour. Shy but very friendly and in super condition. A very handsome male showing good type.

Sleepy relaxed lad. Medium sized ears with furnishings, slight flattening to skull between ears, medium sized eyes of good shape, gentle rounding to muzzle, profile shows a contour, chin recedes. Medium sized young lad of good weight for size, medium sized legs of good length with rounded paws. Tail has good plume, needs more length, showing some curling. Coat is long but waves and stands away from the body. A gentle lad, handled well.

Litter sister to previous exhibit and quite similar in type and appearance and also a charmer. Moderately large ears, well set, slightly flared and cupped, broad moderate wedge showing gentle contours, slight rise in profile, broad muzzle, whisker break, good chin and level bite. Expressive eyes of oblique set. Firm body, long legs with oval paws, firm and balanced. Tail tapering and full plumed. Coat long and bouncy with an excellent springy texture, well waved and curled and showing very pretty markings. Excellent temperament and condition. Miss Personality- she wanted to come out and meet everyone. My choice for Best Assessment exhibit.

6/11/04 - Rex Cat Club - John Hansson - Assessment Kitten

Blue Tortie and white. Ideally to attain a little more balance overall as yet. Moderate wedge, skull rounds slightly as opposed to flat, gentle contours to the wedge, broad muzzle, chin and bite good, slight profile break. Ears quite large, well-cupped. Eyes medium-sized, rounded shape, hazel green. Body of medium length and quite solid, well-boned, good firm feel to her, good legs, rounded paws, tail medium-length, plume to develop. Coat unruly and completely unstructured, loose waves in random fashion, good springly texture if a little on the harsher side, typically unkempt ‘Bad Hair’ day look to it. Very good condition, a little grumpy, should look a little more balanced with maturity.

5/2/05 - Shropshire cat Club - Jean Gamble - Assessment Adult

Well set ears, lovely expressive green eyes. Medium length firm body, long legs and rounded feet. Tail of length to balance. Medium length wavy coat standing away from the body. Beautiful well mingled blue tortie and white pattern, lovely soft colours. Excellent temperament and condition. A delightful female and a very good example of this lovely breed.

6/11/04 - Rex Cat Club - John Hansson - Assessment Kitten

LH Chocolate. Quite a dainty girl though generally well proportioned. Shorter moderate wedge, slight hint of profile break, reasonably flat skull, a little more chin would be beneficial, good bite, wedge has contours to well developed muzzle. Ears of good size, flared at the base and complement the wedge, well cupped. Eyes a little deep and more oriental in shape than I would have preferred. Body firm though I would have preferred it a little more substantial, proportionate legs and paws, tail plume developing well, good length. Very promising coat, texture slightly dry and a little less harsh than most, lovely bouncy feel to it, completely loose and unstructured in the wave, with some flow over the body, very long whiskers and eyebrows. Temperament and condition excellent for both, needs to grow on a little.

5/2/05 - Shropshire cat Club - Pamela Wilding - Assessment Kitten

Pretty chocolate, attractive and well balanced overall. Good head, medium wedge, rounded contours. Good profile and chin, level bite, medium ears set in line with the wedge, almond shaped eyes and sweet expression. Medium size body of good substance, good legs and paws, tail long and plumed. Coat medium long and very curly, needing just a little more attention, warm chocolate. Very good temperament and condition. Good example of the breed with excellent show temperament.

26/2/05 - Coventry and Leicester Show - Helen Marriot-Power - Assessment Adult

Good plume to tail which tapers gently to tip. Good length to balance. Excellent coat, medium to long with good ruff on neck. Curly coat all over, loose and bouncy and soft. Attractive chocolate coat colouring. Level bite. Delightful, playful young lady show in excellent condition.

12/3/05 - Lancashire cat Club - Jean Gamble - Assessment Adult

8/1/05 - Shorthaired Cat Society - Lynda Ashmore - Assessment Kitten

Nicely proportioned head with well set ears, gentle break in profile, fair chin. He was a bit uptight which spoiled his expression a bit, but looked better when relaxed. Very firm well muscled body and tapered tail to balance, oval paws. Very attractive lilac tabby colouring. Nice springy coat texture with curls overall. Good healthy condition. A little shy but not at all aggressive.

26/2/05 - Coventry and Leicester Show - Helen Marriot-Power - Assessment Adult

Attractive young lad, a trifle shy but handled well. Gentle rounded contours to modified wedge. Gentle convex curve to nose in profile then straight to tip. Slightly broad muzzle in proportion to wedge. Large ears with good furnishings, slightly flared but perhaps held just a trifle low today. Medium large eyes, almond in shape, set well apart. Great firm feel to medium sized body of excellent weight. Shapely proportionate legs and dainty rounded paws. Good length tail to balance body with full curly plume to it. Coat medium to long with ruff developing. Good ear furnishings, springy texture to coat. Attractive lilac colouring showing ticked pattern. Lovely condition, just a little nervous out of pen.

8/10/05 - Cumberland Cat Club - Anne Gregory - Assessment Adult

An alert cat who was enjoying the show and was a delight to judge. Moderate wedge. The forehead formed a flat plane and there were gentle contours to the brow, cheeks and profile, although the muzzle was a trifle fine. Very slight concave curve to the profile. Large ears, well cupped. Moderately large eyes, set well apart and very expressive. Medium length body that was well muscled, medium legs and rounded paws. Tail of proportionate length. The coat was moderately long but she is lacking ruff at present. Tail curly, the rest of her coat was well waved and had a springy texture. Excellent condition and temperament. A sweet gentle female who was confident and showed herself to advantage.

Canonna Red Feather - (Owner Z Bassett)

15/1/05 - West Country Cat Club - Val Anderson - Assessment Neuter

A shy girl, well grown with good type. Modified wedge with slightly rounded contours and full whisker pads. Broad nose and good profile. Strong firm chin and level bite. Medium ears, good cupping and held slightly flared. Eyes expressive large and almond shaped, set on a slant. Well muscled body of medium size with limbs to balance and rounded feet. Tail in proportion and slightly tapering with a reasonable plume. Coat medium long and very long curly whiskers. Springy, textured feel to the coat which stands away from the body. Light and airy with an unkempt appearance and curls on the neck and ruff. Shy and retiring, lovely condition. A good example of the breed, a pity she prefers to hide from view.

29/1/05 - Southern Counties cat Club - Anne Gregory - Assessment Adult

An attractive cat with superb eyebrows and whiskers. Moderate wedge with curving contours. Good whisker pads. Flat plane to top of the head and large ears that were well cupped. Very good profile and firm chin. Almond eyes set well apart giving a good expression. Medium length body that was well muscled. Long legs and rounded paws. The tail was a good length to balance. Semi-long coat with a slight ruff. Excellent waves and curls to the coat and it had an excellent springy texture to make it stand away from the body. She was a little grumpy (the first LaPerm I have met that was a little tense) but she was shown in excellent condition and she had no malice in her.

19/2/05 - Bristol and District cat Club - Jean Gamble - Assessment Neuter

A very attractive female neuter of good type. Moderate wedge with well spaced ears, just cupped forward, slightly broad muzzle and firm chin. Eyes large, expressive, of a hazel green. Medium length firm body with legs of length to balance and rounded paws. Well plumed tail. Had that special springy texture, lovely to touch, showing waves over all. Rich red tabby colouring. A little shy- lovely condition. A pleasure to handle- a good example of the breed.

5/3/05 - Wessex Cat Club - Pamela Wilding - Assessment Neuter

Handsome girl and good size. Good head and balanced, good medium wedge, slightly broad muzzle and good chin, good profile. Medium ears set well, largish eyes and expressive. Strong body of good length, fairly long legs, rounded paws, good tail, thick at base and tapering. Coat medium long and ruff on neck, slightly harsh but well rexed. Good colour, some faint pattern. Good temperament and condition. Typy and well balanced overall. She had fallen out with her neighbour but otherwise good tempered.

Aswani Katriona - (Owner T Lee) - 80L 45b

2/4/05 - Rex Cat Association - John Hansson - Assessment Adult

Chocolate Ticked Tabby. Medium length wedge, slight evidence of contours present to the muzzle, has the required slight convex curve at the bridge of the nose, good chin and bite. Ears good medium size, follow through the wedge and set well. Very good shape wide almond eyes. Body a little overweight and needs to slim down a little, slim legs and neat oval paws. Coat requires more evidence of curl and loose wave as yet, despite which it has the required unruly unstructured feel, though bouncy is still rather too harsh in texture. Very sweet nature and condition overall but ideally requires more preparation for best effect to her rather short tail.

10/9/05 - Wyvern cat Club - Helen Marriot-Power - Assessment Neuter

A handsome well balanced young male. Slight rounding to modified wedge with gentle contours to cheeks. Whisker pads could be more rounded. Straight nose, slight break, gentle convex curve to top of head from base of eye. Would prefer muzzle a little broader for perfection. Level bite, slightly shallow chin. Medium to large ears, slightly flared with good furnishings. Fairly large eyes of full almond shape set fairly wide apart. Good size body, well muscled with proportionate legs and rounded feet. “Bottle brush” tail of good shape which balances body. Short hair coat, curly and with textured feel. Long whiskers which could be curlier. Lovely condition and temperament. Blue ticked tabby coat pattern with pale green eyes.

1/10/05 - Russian Blue Breeders Association - John Hansson - Assessment Neuter

Very firm lad, a little shy and retiring. Medium length moderate wedge with rounded contours, well developed whisker pads, gentle convex curve at the nasal bridge, flat plane to his head, good chin and bite. Ears well set. Eyes have a slightly more oblique setting, rounded shape, green colour. Well muscled body of medium length, slim legs, oval paws, marginally short tail, bottle brush effect. Medium length, slightly dry, harsh feel, very springy texture with loose very unstructured curl, just evident on the longer areas, standing away from the body. Colour is very cold and lacks warmth. Temperament and condition, very good on both counts, rather shy. Pattern, though not truly relevant for showing, is not well defined.

Ballego Izzabella Blue - (Owner P Cragg) - 80S 45a

23/4/05 - Bedford and District Cat Club - Steve Crow - Assessment Kitten

Very attractive young lady, mature and well developed for her age and looking almost adult. Slender firm body is of good confirmation with medium fine boning, of very good weight and substance with well developed muscle tone, gently rounded chest and slender well shaped legs ending in neat oval paws in proportion. Head forms modified wedge with gently rounded muzzle of good breadth showing full rounded whisker pads and moderate whisker break. Well spaced medium large ears are flared and cupped and of good shape. Expressive yellow eyes are rounded almond shape, and good size, set well apart and at a slight slant. Flat plane to top of head, nose break is perhaps a little too well defined, chin is level and of fairly good depth. Short to medium length to coat, fairly well curled and stands away from the body with a good springy texture already evident, texture is perhaps a little harsh along the back. Long slightly curled whiskers and eyebrows, only very slight ears muffs, ‘bottle brush’ developing on tail, but as yet a little lacking in hair length and curl towards the end. Tail is of good shape tapering slightly to tip and is just short to balance. A very affectionate and friendly girl shown in lovely condition. Alert, lively and very easy to handle.

3/9/05 - Herts and Middlesex Cat Club - Val Anderson - Assessment Adult

A well grown girl with a distinctive coat. Head a moderate wedge with gentle contours and quite full whisker pads. Good profile but her chin could be stronger. Level bite. Quite large ears slightly cupped and flared. Expressive eyes set on a slant and almond shaped. Well muscled body of medium size with medium fine bone. Good limbs of medium bone. Tapering tail with a thick base and bottle brush look. Short coat with a textured feel, but it could be softer. Springy texture and standing away from the body, but it cold show more waves, especially on the body. She was a little shy but with a gentle nature. Although I would prefer a softer coat there is no doubt that it is different to that of any other Rex breed.

Tapered tail of good length and full plume with curling. Medium long coat without ruff at present. Long curly whiskers and eyebrows, curly coat with springy textured feel, fairly soft and stands away from body with minimal undercoat. Colour red, but in my book as black. 6/11/04 - Rex Cat Club - John Hansson - Assessment Adult

LH Red Tabby. Well grown youngster, just getting to the excitable adolescent phase. Moderate wedge showing required gentle contours, quite a broad muzzle with flow into the cheeks, chin okay, bite good. Ears I would prefer larger and more cupped. Eyes of rounded almond shape, amber in colour. Muscular body, good medium length, good legs, quite large rounded paws, good length bushy, plumed tail. Coat standing well away from the body, with required loose unstructured waves with springy bounce to it, curls around neck and throat, extremely long curling whiskers and eyebrows, texture slightly dry, though bouncy. Alert and in very good condition, appears to be interested in girls. Good start, would just prefer more on the ears.

Moderate wedge with gentle contours, full whisker pads, flattened top of head with slight curve to profile, straight nose, level chin of medium depth, slightly large ears with slight furnishings, expressive eyes of good shape. Medium sized slim body of good weight, legs of medium length with large rounded paws. Has full plume to tail and in proportion to body. Coat is in good condition and of medium length, short and close to body around neck and shoulders where it waves, looser elsewhere where curly and springy in texture. A gentle timid girl in very good condition.

13/2/05 - Croydon cat Club - Jean Gamble - Assessment Adult

Rather shy but gentle, lovely to handle. Moderate wedge with gentle rounded contours, well placed ears, smooth gentle curve on profile. Firm chin. Large expressive eyes. Medium length firm body with length of legs and tail to balance. Well plumed tail, slight defect near tip. Medium length coat with that special springy texture and wavy appearance. Soft cream tabby pattern. Gentle and good condition. Lovely female, a pleasure to judge.

2/4/05 - Rex Cat Association - John Hansson - Assessment Adult

Slightly longer narrow wedge, chin requires a little more depth, bite good. Ears a little too small and a mite higher in set than ideal. Slightly flat skull with too defined a profile break, which detracts. Eyes slightly fuller, more oval than almond, blue washed green colour. Body a little over her optimum weight, good firm tone regardless, well balanced legs and paws, tail of proportionate length. Very springy bouncy coat, which though of slightly dry texture was not overly harsh, very good loose unruly wave present, just developing. Temperament and condition excellent for both

Rather more what I feel this breed should look like. Modified nicely rounded wedge. Firm body, tapered tail. Coat light and airy. I think she is wrongly coloured and should be tortie and white, not ticked.

10/9/05 - Northern Counties Cat Club - Lynda Ashmore - Assessment Kitten

Fast becoming one of my favourite cats. Tortie and white. Typical head shape with slightly rounded gentle contours and very slight nose break, expressive eyes. Well muscled body, rounded feet, tapered tail. No ticking evident, I wonder if she is really just a tortie and white.

Attractive mature girl of good overall type. Modified wedge is balanced with god width at cheeks and breadth to gently rounded muzzle, full whisker pads and moderate break. Well spaced medium ears broad at base and good shape. Flat plane to brow, gentle break, level chin of quite good depth. Large expressive rounded almond shaped eyes are set wide and at slight slant, rich yellow tone. Well filled slender body is of very good weight and substance, feeling firm and muscular. Gently rounded chest and slender well shaped limbs ending in rounded compact paws in proportion. Coat is medium, I’d like a little more length, but v good curl to hairs growing, well defined waves, very slight ruff, modest plume to tail. Lovely long whiskers and eyebrows are slightly curled. Warm blue grey to rich cream tortie pattern contrasts against clean white. A shy girl who was a little overawed by the show. Shown in very good condition and very sweet natured.
